Vigilante Members Who Stoned Emmanuel Akola To Death Have Been Arrested And Allegedly Confessed He Was Innocent, The Deceased’s Brother Claims

Emmanuel Akola, a 24-year-old student of Benue Polytechnic who was stoned to death on allegations of cultism, has been buried.

He was buried on July 15 after his body was finally released to his family. The deceased’s brother, Akola Gabriel said the vigilante members who killed him were arrested and detained, following which they allegedly confessed that Emmanuel was not guilty as claimed. Gabriel further claimed that his brother’s killers said they went to his house and took him while he was with a friend, then they lynched him.
